oh poo. How did the weekend go so quickly? Not to worry i suppose - i feel a bit elated today as i got lots of page visits yesterday and lots of nice comments about my blog/hair/bedroom stamina, plus i had a fun night out with DazPants last night which of course ended in a swirling haze of slings, love eggs and mint scented lube. I jest - of course it wasn't a haze :) But seriously, I really appreciate people who take the time out to read my random musings every day. Y'all are just too precious. Just a quickie with you all today (how sordid) - but back with a vengence on Mon!!
SUNDAY THOUGHTS:
- bought lots of sunday papers to read the reviews of Wicked The Musical. Am mortified and horrified to read two bad reviews ("It wasn't wicked; just bad). Now i may be biased but i still maintain that this is the greatest show on earth right now and I can't wait to go and see it again. Has anyone else out there caught the London show? I am currently obsessed with this little duet between Elphie and Fiyero which takes place in the second act. Would love for Debs G to cover this - any suggestions on who could sing the male vocal on a "pop" version??
MP3: As Long As You're Mine (From Wicked)
- also in musical news, Breaking Free from the rather excellent and addictive High School Musical crashed the top ten in the UK this week. Go over to J'Asonville (who tipped me off about it earlier this year) to read more about that...
MP3: Breaking Free (from High School Musical)
- sweet lord! Its a cacophony of riches over at Zeon's Music Blog today. Not only is there some music from the best television show of the 90s (Buffy), but there are some great KT Tunstall covers available including an amazing white stripes cover that has to be heard to be believed. but best of all was finding that Lily Allen has done a cover version of the greatest Keane song ever written...Just Marv.
MP3: Lily Allen - Everybody's Changing
Coming this week: Definitely will get around to my fashion feature, Pinkie's little mermaid post is just awaiting his approval post computer crash, the reviews of Simon Curtis and Gavin Mikhail are on the way, and probably some more on St Etienne, seeing as I am now obsessed with them. Happy October y'all... ps make sure you check out fun new blog from Ste at http://popstebags.blogspot.com/
