Feeling much better today peeps so thought i would get on with what I was going to post yesterday...
before i do the girls, i should point out that I only got to be aware of both these acts because of Jess over at Into The Groove... thanks Jess :)
LILLIX:
Lillix proudly wear their love of 80s rock-metal on their sleeves and give it a somewhat updated twist that McFly and The Click Five would be proud to put their names too...They have worked with the producer from the killers "hot fuss" and some dude who worked with alanis morrisette (who says my site isn't informative!!) so they have that electro 80s rock angsty mofo music vibe in spades. if you like the veronicas or the faders/molly mcqueen is too poppy for you then check out this group. You can read about them also at Jess's site here and here and over at arjanwrites here...

KATE RYAN:
Kate Ryan did something in the eurovision this year that Lordi or whoever won have failed to do yet... take over Europe with a great dance / pop song that has great mass appeal. Her new single is called Alive and is another great dance track produced by the Riva guys who did Dannii's Who Do You Love Now. Hopefully Kate will start getting some exposure in England soon cos I think the charts could do with an injection of her infectious joyous style of pop :)

AARON BUCKINGHAM:
L'il and lovely Aaron was hungry and desperate for fame when he signed up with should have been huge boyband V. I still wake up shocked that V aren't all over the charts with their fun pop sound :( I will try and get over it one day. In the meantime, aaron has come out of the closet (how lance bass of him), set up his own myspace site (with less friends than the increasingly popular chartrigger!) and done an acoustic-y cover of Another Day In Paradise which i am currently finding perfectly lovely and relaxing. i can see big things in Aaron's future :) And while you are at it, check out fellow V-er Marks myspace!

I liked her Eurovision-y song, "Je T'Adore," also....
i very nearly did stephanie mcintosh instead of lillix but refrained at the last minute...
Lordi have been pretty successful around Europe, even prior to Eurovision. Just in a different sort of way to Kate Ryan etc.
Do you like Stephanie McIntosh's single, then? I do, but I wasn't sure what the general consensus was on it.
aarons cover is growing on me all the time - at first i thought "oh no -surely you can pick a better song than that" but it actually works quite well for our times as well as aaron giving it more charm than ol Phil ever could :)
