your one stop shop...

Don't you wish (your girlfriend was hot like me) that all the good info on the net currently could be found in one place? No? oh :( Well anyway for today only - and depending on how popular it is a regular feature - i have trawled the net to find you all the best links that bring you the best info from the best people. Or something. anyway enjoy. There's some mp3s in there somewhere too...

Hot Links:

suddenly the whole world loves Stephanie McIntosh. She's somehow related to Jason Donovan (who will be appearing here soon. Excitement!) and her first single ain't too shabby. Check out the love at Hotstuff Files and Chartrigger...

I've gone off Big Brother in its final week due to the manipulation of Channel 4 to make it the Pete and Nikki show. And seeing as my fave Glyn has blown his chances of winning by enthusing about his friendship with irredeemably evil Grace (which is ok, cos we all make crap friend choices when we are 18), I am so behind the lowculture campaign to get Aisleyne to win. Check out this link and support her! If you don't you are dead to me. DEAD!!! :) Oh! and just found out the daily mirror is backing aisleyne to win so is clearly also influenced by lowculture. Bravo!

Titter! Check out Spark*Pop for a brilliant Cyndi Lauper jingle currently being used to promote some 80s album stateside...

Nick at alienhits has happened upon the rather brilliant idea of doing a countdown of his fave 100 albums of the millenium so far. I'm not sure i agree with Robbie's Intensive Care being higher than the fabbo Escapology but its certainly a fun read. And as I mentioned Robbie, here is an mp3!

MP3: Robbie Williams - Rudebox (chicken lips malfunction mix)

I laughed so hard when i read that samuel hotstufffiles had hurt his wrist to the new Paris Hilton album. I'm sure that's not what he meant but it made me chortle :)

Why does everyone want the Danity Kane album? I don't even know who the eff they are?!

Talented Lucas is looking for some songs that remind him of his days from yore :) Can you help him out. One of them is posted below - feel free to do a cover of this track Lucas ;)

MP3: Bang - Holding My Heart

First the Alex Rider series are made into a storming movie, now Christopher Paolini's Inheritance trilogy gets the treatment. Could I be more excited???

And talking of Alex Rider movie (Stormbreaker) don't forget that the so-much-better-than-home Rooster song Good To Be Here is available for download on iTunes this very day!

MYSPACE ROUNDUP:

JJ Appleton is a "singer songwriter and lover" (ahem) from New York who is coming to the UK in September... i quite like his music. Its kind of the music Robbie Williams should have done instead of most of Intensive Care but i'm over that now. Anyway check out his myspace page for some examples of his musical prose... I particularly am swaying to Walk Into The Room right now...

I am really starting to like Simon Curtis. Not only did he battle leukemia when he was younger, but he's quite talented and certainly knows how to write a decent pop tune - for example, check out the rather brilliant show mix of Broken. The Disney Channel seem to be all over him which isn't surprising because he is fresh faced and looks 14. However, don't let that put you off, because you can't help but think that there is something more sinister and dirty hiding behind that angelic facade. god lets hope so...

Don't forget that the new dark and dirty electro clash soon to be classic single Give Me Danger is still be streamed at the Dangerous Muse myspace site. Also check out below for a rather hilarious "making of" clip from their new video for The Rejection...

That other band that sound like a 60s throwback, The Bishops, are streaming their most commercial single yet on their myspace site. Hopefully Higher Now will latch onto the coattails of the pipettes chart success (although they are the shangri las to the bishops beatles) and give the bishop boys some deserved success...

I am so pleased that everyone is now feeling The Feeling. They are definitely my top drawer at V this weekend, and you can see their new video Never Be Lonely on their myspace site now. Swoon :)

Praise be! Just like the waiting-to-be-famous The Modern, Protocol release quality pop electro dance music that isn't quite storming the charts just yet. But! Fear not protocolletes, they are releasing an exclusive download track each week at their myspace site, so be sure to check back on a regular basis. First up? A tranquil more acousticy offering from them called Headaches Heartbreaks. I so totally relate to the words (not now dazfans but in the past, deffo!)

MP3: Protocol - Headaches, Heartbreaks

Remember when Paolo Nutini wasn't famous and posted an mp3 of Still Crazy on his myspace site? Me either, but thanks to the awesome power of the zapping email account I can rewrite history and pretend i was there and offer it all for you now. Can't wait to see him at V either...

MP3: Paolo Nutini - Still Crazy

Switch 22 are 91% tremendous and that is a mathmatical fact. I absolutely adore their Sweet Dreaming mash up cover version thing that is track two on their myspace site. They could be the british version of Dangerous Muse. And boooo to Son of Dork hasbeens for "dissing" them in the press :( Now if anyone knows where i can get proper mp3s of their tracks that would make my day.

Phew, well that was a post and a half. It may have to do you til Thursday as I am off with front row seats for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang tomorrow :) Cheers dazpantomime!

Now beware of the very fake Depeche song floating around! The one that heavily features the word emotion. Total fake.

So much to digest! Immediate reaction: cheers for including Simon Curtis; I am waiting for that CD to come out so I can finally have high quality versions of his songs.

James Bourne! What happened? I thought "We're Not Alone" was a sign of good things to come--slagging off other musicians is not a good start. Now I have to go listen to Switch 22...

gosh so many comments :) Nick - switch 22 are so great in a camp way, i really like their music, it makes me smile :) But not in a nasty (yet brilliant) Lily Allen way of course!

Leon - i was so enraged when i saw last nights Big bro. i think the producers hate aisleyne and thats why they told everyone she was most likely to be manipulative in those personality tests a few weeks back and playing the worst possible clip from her audition tape last night. I seriously dislike pete and nikki. Nikki has serious mental health issues and pete is ridiculously emotionally stunted!! Ais to win!!!!

XO and J'ason - i didn't post the Damita Jo Kane album, i was just shocked and referencing the so many people that had. I didn't even know they existed. And they ain't all that and a bag of chips. Will Poop dummy have me knee capped now? :(

Yay to PPG liking Simon Curtis. And yes it has all started to go wrong for SOD. I liked we're not alone too... in a slightly related note, its quite sad to see mcfly falling down the charts so fast :( sob.
