Supermassive Black Hole - the new single by Muse - is by far the poppiest thing they have ever done. A three and a half minute tune featuring a funky driving Franz Ferdinand style riff and falsetto Prince style vocals from Matt "David" Bellamy. It seems to refer to a failed relationship with lines such as "you're the superficial/how long before you tell the truth?" and "I thought i was a fool for no one/ooo baby i'm a fool for you" Muse could be looking at their biggest hit yet...

The Motorettes sound a little bit like the Ramones and the Beach Boys doing a midnight panty raid on such distinguished girl groups as, well, The Ronettes and maybe those chicks who did Sweet Talking Guy. Take new single "You Gotta Look The Parts" for example - a tune that is so summery it will give you a sun tan just sitting next to the speakers. Its tunes like this alongside the likes of Super Heartbeats (sprightly gargled, this years best musical ode to everlasting love) and their 150 mph reinterpretation of Bruce Springsteens Im On Fire that are guaranteed to sountrack the smiles that will grace your face all summer long. Bloody lovely.
